A black and white photograph of double doors under a lean-to on a historic building in Ellensburg, Washington

Many times, architectural elements are added onto a building to provide additional functionality. On this building on 2nd Ave in Ellensburg, Washington, a framed lean-to structure was added onto a historic brick building to provide either dry storage or protection from the wind outside the double wooden doors with 6-pane muntin windows.

Part of my Pacific Northwest black and white urban photography series.
