While driving back from Ventura, California, I had an extra day to visit a new location. My choice was Yosemite National Park. I only had one full day to see the area, and I made the most of it.
During the morning hours, I paid a visit to Yosemite Valley. If you visit this national park, the valley is a must-see location. Because it was mid-week in October, the area was busy but not gridlocked as it can be during peak tourist season.
One of the most famous attractions in Yosemite is El Capitan. At the height of 3000 feet above the valley floor, the granite monolith is an impressive sight to behold.
Because of the size of El Capitan, I had to stand a ways back to make the featured photograph.
I used a photography technique, merging four images into a large 16:9 aspect ratio panorama. I felt a panoramic photograph would better represent the beautiful scene.
