While photographing water and forest scenes along Forest Road 52 (Skate Creek Road) in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest near Packwood, Washington, I came across this moss-covered rock. The rock appeared to have rolled down a nearby slope and was surrounded by a patch of Star False Solomon’s Seal.
On this intimate landscape photograph, I filled the frame with the main subject (the moss-covered rock) and used the Star False Solomon’s Seal as a border.
