On a drive along a forest road near Darrington, Washington, I stumbled upon a unique scene that demanded a second look. While most would have continued their journey, I couldn’t resist its charm.
Amidst the chaos of the Pacific Northwest forest, I found myself captivated by the simple beauty of a small seasonal creek. Its quiet flow over weathered rocks, the gentle contrast of the water’s movement with the dark, textured stones, and the delicate placement of a few leaves on the rocks all served as a reminder of nature’s serene beauty.
The black-and-white photograph removes unnecessary elements and distills the image to its bare elements: water and earth.
Imagine the soothing sound of the flowing water, a melody of tranquility that offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
