During the month of May 2020, I released a total of 27 black and white photographs from locations in Washington State, Oregon, Colorado, and Belgium.
On a recent visit to Brussels, Belgium, to see my daughter, I learned about the Sonian Forest, a hidden treasure just a stone’s throw away from the bustling city. This unexpected discovery was within reach, and I couldn’t wait to visit.

Giants are long gone, their stories etched in towering stumps, silent testaments to a time when nature reigned supreme. The Pacific Northwest’s temperamental weather is a landscape photographer’s constant companion. One moment, you’re basking in clear skies and vibrant hues; the next, you’re engulfed in a swirling vortex of fog and cloud.
